“We always lived on the edge and as if walking on a thin wire, not knowing if it would be our last time to breathe. ”

“They thought I was crazy to return to the battlefield.  I just smiled, but silently I wanted to tell them that I felt at home in this place.”

MY SILENT FREEDOM

My silent freedom called me to serve my country and to protect the people. It took me to the war zone after President George W. Bush declared war against Iraq on March 20, 2003 at 0800 Zulu time. I deployed with the 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault (AASLT), and headquartered at Mosul, Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom I (OIF I). Mosul was believed to be the final resting place of the biblical prophet Jonah, who was swallowed by a whale and who warned inhabitants of the Assyrian city of Nineveh, now known as Mosul, that God would destroy them if they did not repent from their sins. During OIF I, it became a hotbed of terror, with extremists free to launch rocket-propelled grenades and air missiles against military facilities in Iraq. We were in Mosul pursuing the liberation of the Iraqis from the authoritarian rule of Saddam Hussein and the destruction of his weapons of mass destruction.

A story of Faith, love, & Hope

Rowe and Antonette joined the Army to do their part. Duty, Honor, and Country, they embraced these values. Their meeting was designed by destiny. The young pair would soon discover that they were soulmates. But time and the chaos of war conspired to separate them. Twelve years pass before they reunite, and much has changed. Terrorism runs rampant and Rowe and Antonette soon discover that they were meant to make a difference. Gifted with superpowers, they embark upon a quest to save the world from tyranny. In doing so they rekindle the passion they once embraced. This is a story of Faith, Love, and Hope. Indivisible is the emotionally charged sci-fi adventure you won’t want to miss.

Indivisible is a Silent Freedom Novel and the first in a series. This fiction novel follows the release of Aurea Franklin’s acclaimed debut publication and military autobiography, Silent Freedom: A Memoir of Service with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Iraq.

"I loved Antonette and Rowe's vulnerable moments and when they opened up and shared as well. I especially loved the struggle each had to do to get closer to each other."
