Independence Day
INALIENABLE RIGHTS
It has been 244 years since the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
We continue to fight for life, our freedom, our liberty, and for the right to pursue happiness. Americans hold
these truths to be evident of their existence. These are inherent rights, and Americans believe
that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by God with these inalienable rights.
Our Government and our identity as Americans is based on the Declaration of Independence.
It is powerful.
This legacy signed by 56 men in the name of freedom continues to inspire people around the world to fight for freedom for
life, liberty, to pursue happiness and realize the American dream.
It is for these rights that we must consciously sustain our democratic ideals and values upon
which America was founded, and help preserve by fighting against undeserved aggression, oppression, and tyranny.
It is for these rights that we must treat each other the way we want to be treated.
It is for these rights that we must hold onto our faith and hope that our future would be better.
